Does Anybody Really Know What Time Management Is?

Please read Chapters III of Dragons. Of the planning and time management ideas here, what do you think will be most important for you personally? In which of these areas are you already fairly strong? Where do you need work?

  1. The most important areas of planning and time management for me will be to avoid the time wasters. I am fairly strong in making goals and planning how I am going to get there. I also cannot function without my weekly planner. It is the perserverance and follow through it takes to complete all of the day-to-day tasks due to the many time wasters in my life. -Reeba Sullivan

  2. Hi Ancient Art,

I'm sorry for the delayed post. Time management is very important to me. I have a very busy schedule so I need to organize my day by priority first. Sometimes there are some road blocks. Steps one, two, three and four : establish some lifetime goals, a 5 year plan and a plan for the semester/school year, and creating a weekly schedule are things that I have already addressed in my life. I also think if we speak things into existence, it will happen. Step 5: avoiding time wasters has to be the most important because I still have to get better at avoiding distractions.

    Thank you,
    Harmony Mariar

    1. Hello Harmony,

I love how you mentioned if we speak things in existence, it will happen. Yes manifestation, prayer, and massive action; is the way to go when it comes to accomplishing anything in life.

  3. Chapter 3 reminds me of: Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich, which speaks on having a burning desire mixed with Grant Cardone’s, The 10x Rule which speaks on taking massive action for what you want. Because when you have a burning desire for something you tend to act on it — therefore making time for it. So, to accomplish what your heart desires it takes a plan, a desire, mental preparation, and lots of action to turn your dream into fruition. You have to manage your time correctly and eliminate distractions or you’ll waste a lot of time doing nothing. And in my opinion television can be a huge distraction along with social media especially if you’re not marketing a product or business. In fact, this is only two areas in which you should monitored with care and savored for weekend enjoyment; while in school. Because the list goes on when it come to how one can waste their time.

But, I found over the last couple of months that I tend to remain on the move accomplishing goals daily — with me completing the most important first. Although, my problem resides in me wanting to accomplish so much. So, to prevent this from happening I must create a schedule and strictly stick to it —to ensure I accomplish all my heart desires.

  4. Hello Regan,

Yes, learning to say no is essential for a goal-getter. But, also learning when to say is just as important because you don’t want to be left with no one. So, I’ll say finding your rhythm is the key for making time for work, school, yourself, family, and friends.
